In 2015 we began our process evaluating how aluminum boats were made in the industry. We
observed everyone building the same boat with the same dimensions and features. Other than
a few exceptions to industry innovators, Fishhook took a whole new approach.
We began our process with Maritime engineers that new boatbuilding. Working diligently for
nearly five years, countless R&D hours and discussions, to come up with our version of the
perfect open boat platform.
The First Conclusion: To build the boat that was engineered to our specifications and nothing
else. Not taking our design as merely a template but as the actual finished product the way it
was intended to be. In other words, our boat is a 21 feet-long, we will not make it anything else
than 21’ long. This is what it is engineered to be and this is the finished size.
The Second Conclusion: Not to add to the dimensions or stray from the original design. Not
making it longer or wider or taller just to appeal to a customer and then just add horsepower to
make it work. This is not how you build a better boat, it is merely a way to build a bigger boat.
Final Conclusion: Build the boat that is designed and engineered, making its performance speak
for itself. Of the two models Fishhook Boats make, they are completely identical other than the
bottom hull layout. Choose between a the 11 degree Killer-V or the Flat bottom to Semi vee, V-
String version. Both are exceptional performing boats, just as they were designed and
engineered to be.
